Indigenous Economic New Landscape Takes Shape | Quebec’s IEDIG Officially Unveiled

Building a Sustainable Industrial Ecosystem for Indigenous communities across Quebec, powered by green energy, RWA green asset finance, and youth high-tech talent development.

Landmark Milestone in Quebec Indigenous Economic Development

Indigenous Economic Development & Investment Group Ltd. (IEDIG) has officially completed its corporate restructuring and business registration. As a dedicated investment and operations platform focused on the comprehensive development of Quebec’s Indigenous communities, the establishment of IEDIG thoroughly reshapes the local Indigenous economic development model.

It breaks free from the limitations of traditional resource-dependent growth and, with Indigenous leadership, international empowerment, and sustainable operations at its core, prioritizes three new key drivers: green energy physical production capacity, RWA green asset finance, and high-tech talent cultivation for youth. It builds a multi-dimensional industrial system spanning new energy, financial capital, cultural tourism services, and resource development, driving the full transition of the Indigenous economy from “being supported” to “independent high-quality development.”

Strategic Partnership & Joint Venture IDIH

IEDIG has entered into a deep strategic partnership with the international capital platform Visionary Capital Investment Group Co., Ltd. Building on two strategic cooperation agreements signed in May and June 2026, the parties formally signed a cooperation agreement on July 22. This completed confirmation of the corporate entity change, finalization of the equity structure, establishment of the governance mechanism, and planning of the comprehensive industrial layout.

The agreement specifically clarifies the strategies for the financialization of the green economy and cultivation of next-generation talent, and establishes the joint venture Indigenous Development International Holdings Limited (IDIH). This creates an institutionalized, market-oriented, and internationalized operational framework for the long-term economic development of Quebec’s Indigenous communities.

Indigenous Leadership Remains Core

The platform restructuring and cooperation strictly adhere to Canadian Indigenous rights protection standards and Quebec’s industrial development policies, upholding Indigenous control. IEDIG holds an absolute majority stake of 51% in IDIH, fully reflecting the core position of Indigenous communities in autonomous decision-making and development.

An innovative governance model of “majority equity + equal decision-making” is adopted. Although IEDIG holds controlling equity, unanimous consent from both parties is required for all major matters, including corporate strategic planning, financing arrangements, asset disposal, profit distribution, and appointment/removal of senior executives.

Governance & Contribution Framework

  • Board of Directors strengthens capital operations and international operational capabilities
  • IEDIG nominates the Chairman; partner nominates the CEO
  • Finance function is jointly managed by both parties
  • 1:1 equal contribution principle (capital, tech, equipment, IP, land, shareholder loans)
  • Contribution ratio does not alter the established equity structure

Five Core Industrial Tracks

Leveraging Quebec’s abundant mineral resources, new energy industrial foundation, and Indigenous land resource advantages, IDIH has formally established five core industrial tracks upon its launch. These fully activate the economic potential of Indigenous communities and align with the development direction of the Quebec government’s 2022–2027 Special Plan for Indigenous Economic Revitalization.

1. Indigenous High-Tech Green Energy Industry

Green productive assets as core: lithium-ion batteries, solid-state batteries, battery materials, large-scale energy storage manufacturing, clean energy minerals utilization, green industrial parks. Low-carbon circular assets turn Indigenous land and minerals into long-term stable green real economy revenue streams.

2. Finance and Capital Projects

RWA tokenization of green physical assets + Quebec Indigenous sustainable development bonds. Full closed loop: green real economy + green bond financing + RWA digital asset circulation. Compliant under OSFI and Quebec AMF regulations.

3. Education, Culture, Tourism & Services

Indigenous Youth High-Tech Talent Development Plan: green energy tech, digital finance, RWA asset management, corporate operations, ESG compliance. Integrated training–internship–employment–promotion pathway for local youth.

4. Resources and Real Estate Development

Indigenous land & real estate development, mineral resource development, land use for new energy and industrial parks, other lawful resource projects.

5. Other Projects

Projects compliant with Canadian and Quebec law plus Indigenous governance frameworks that advance sustainable community development for all stakeholders.

Exclusive Cooperation & CAD 100,000 Goodwill Deposit

To ensure steady project advancement, the parties have established an exclusive cooperation mechanism in the Indigenous economic field. Apart from IEDIG’s existing projects, all new projects, new resources, and new cooperation channels related to Quebec Indigenous economic development will be jointly operated by both parties. This eliminates fragmented development and redundant construction.

The partner has already provided a CAD 100,000 exclusive goodwill deposit. This funding is dedicated to preliminary work: Quebec local project matching, policy applications, feasibility studies, international business coordination. Priority areas: green energy feasibility studies, green bond scheme design, RWA asset system construction, youth education project preparation.

ESG and Indigenous Priority Principles

  • Priority hiring of local Indigenous personnel
  • Priority high-tech skills training and career development for Indigenous youth
  • Comprehensive community participation and green benefit-sharing mechanisms
  • High-standard environmental protection and green energy norms
  • Deep integration of Indigenous culture and long-term rights in all projects
  • Long-term community prosperity via green taxation, green employment, industrial value-add

A New Era of Indigenous Green Economy, Sustainable Finance, and Youth Development

IEDIG and IDIH create a triangular development system: green physical production capacity as foundation, sustainable bonds + RWA green finance as driver, high-tech youth talent as long-term engine. Building a North American demonstration model for Indigenous green sustainable economic development.
